Who we are and what this policy covers

Souss Origin is the store responsible for personal information provided through this website. This policy covers browsing, the cart, ordering, order tracking, and support communications.

We follow the principles of Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of personal data.

Information we collect

When you order or contact us, we collect the information needed to handle your request and support you.

• Full name, phone number, optional email, city, and delivery address.
• Order note, products, sizes, quantities, selected language, reference, and order status.
• On the contact page: name, email, category, subject, message, and any photos or documents you choose to attach.
• Limited technical information such as IP address, browser, and request time to protect the website from abuse.
• The reference, phone number, or email entered to track an order.

How we use information

We use it to record and confirm orders, arrange delivery, display order status, handle contact messages and attachments, provide support, send confirmations, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

Contact details linked to an order are not used for direct marketing without an appropriate basis or consent where required.

Who receives information

Necessary data may be shared with authorized Souss Origin staff, the delivery provider, and database, email, and hosting providers that support the service, including Supabase, Resend, and our SMTP service.

Some providers may process data outside Morocco. Where this occurs, we aim to put required safeguards and formalities in place before an international transfer. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep information

Order data is kept as long as needed for confirmation, delivery, after-sales support, and then for applicable accounting, legal, or dispute-management periods.

Contact messages and their private files are stored in Supabase as long as needed to respond, follow up, and protect the parties’ rights, then deleted when no longer needed unless law requires a longer period.

The cart and cookie choice remain in your browser until cleared, or until the cart is emptied after a successful order.

Security

We restrict access to orders and use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security in every situation.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, or update your information and object to certain processing for legitimate reasons. You may also request deletion where the law does not require us to keep the information.

Contact us from the email or phone used for the order. We will request only what is needed to verify your identity and protect your information.

Cookies and browser storage

The website currently uses browser local storage to remember your cart and cookie choice. This stays on your device and is necessary for the cart to work and for the site to remember your preference.

We currently use no advertising or audience analytics cookies. If this changes, we will explain their purpose and ask for consent before placing non-essential cookies that use personal data.

Choosing “Decline” blocks non-essential items. You can change your choice below or clear site data in your browser settings.

Children’s privacy

The website is intended for adults able to place an order. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion.
